While accurate translation may be dubious, Tokyo- based psych-noise trio Nissenenmondai still manage to cross language barriers and deliver a rewarding slab of recorded chaos. With a name translating, roughly, as “2000 year problem or “year 2000 computer bug” these ladies- Yuri Zaikawa, Sayaka Himeno and Masako Takada respectively- make an instrumental attack at your eyes and ears while never losing their lisenability. Featuring two thick cuts of vinyl and cover design by Space 1026 gallery artist, Issac Lin, Nissenenmondai Double 12-inch Vinyl, is the US release of the band’s first two Japan-only EPs. This release is a collaborative effort between independent publishing houses Free News Projects and The Heartworm Press.
